BERNINA was launched in India in 1998 when Mr. Ajay Gupta decided to take up the responsibility of distributing BERNINA and bernette products in India as the exclusive country distributors for BERNINA and bernette in India.

What is our aim? 

BERNINA India aims to revive and increase interest in the art and hobby of creative sewing, quilting and embroidery with better equipment and methods. We sell products that are based on the primitive principles of sewing, quilting and embroidery; but with modern and creative techniques. BERNINA and bernette products are a revolution in the Indian market since we sell one of a kind unique and creative products. With these products, we hope to appeal to the Indians and inspire them to take up creative hobbies such as sewing, quilting and embroidery. 

To achieve our aim we came up with the BERNINA Creative Center in Mumbai which is a one of kind facility in India where people who wish to learn more about the art of sewing, quilting and embroidery can get together and inspire themselves by learning several hobby projects in the field of sewing , quilting and embroidery on the BERNINA and bernette range of sewing machines , computerised sewing and embroidery machines as well as quilting machines including the longarm quilting machines. 

About our BERNINA Creative Center

We have established the BERNINA Creative Center with a motive to encourage sewing, quilting and embroidery among the masses in various cities. We give free lessons to all individuals who are eager to learn about the art upon purchase of the product, and periodically conduct creative sewing , patchwork and quilting workshops by inviting professional artists and BERNINA friends from foreign nations.
